Kaylan is an undergraduate student at the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College at Florida Atlantic University, currently pursuing a B.S. in Cellular Neuroscience Honors. She is interested in the interplay between behavior, genetics, and neuroscience. Kaylan works under the mentorship of Dr. Kwun Nok Mimi Man to develop a red genetically-encoded optical sensor for dopamine and investigate PKA signaling in astrocytes. Her hobbies include cooking, playing the piano, and drawing/painting.
