Cameron is a PhD student at UC Davis. Cameron’s graduate research is centered on using real-world data with computationally-derived theoretical data to guide protein evolution of a near-infrared glutamate sensor and a genetically encoded ion-channel modulator. Within this same field, he is interested in gene circuits, genetically encoded drugs, and synthetically enhanced human metabolism. Cameron’s ultimate ambition is to translate scientific research from the lab bench and move it beyond the bedside.
